From Konya, with Love

I often talk about the struggle of feeling spiritually stuck. This is something I experience often. The feeling that the gap between the muslim woman I want to be and the one I am is growing bigger without me knowing what to do about it.

I have an immense fear of regressing in my worship and seeing my imaan reduce. I fear losing Allah more than I fear losing my life because He is the essence of life. 

And today, as I was starting to spiral into negative thoughts about how I am not where I want to be spiritually, I took a breath and asked Allah for a sign.

Then I reached out for the book next to me, A Treasury of Rumi, and opened a random page.

Here's what Allah wanted me to read in that moment:

Reading this felt like hearing Allah saying I love you. (Obviously I cried).

And if you are reading this, Allah knows you needed to hear this too.
