THE HEALED SISTER
My experience going to The Women’s Winter Retreat with The Blue Lantern
Dec 10, 2023
Salam,
You know how much I invest in myself. I probably spend way too much in courses and coaching programs (is that even possible though?).
However, I could tell from the beginning that this Women’s Retreat was going to be different. First of all, it was free for members of the Blue Lantern, which to me was quite shocking.
And secondly, it was going to be my first face to face event in ages. I was looking forward to connect with women on a similar path to better themselves, IN REAL LIFE!
And let me tell you something… The whole experience exceeded my expectations.
If you ask me now “well, what did you guys do?” it would be really hard for me to tell you. All I know is that during each activity, each talk, each exchange, I felt something shifting within.
The retreat’s theme was shedding the old and embracing the new and I truly felt that happening in me.
I cried like I hadn’t cried in a very long time. Those were not tears of sadness, they were tears of relief. I felt seen and heard during that magical weekend, both by Allah and by the group of incredible women I met.
You know that feeling when you meet someone and it seems like God is talking to you directly through that person’s words? That’s exactly what happened throughout the weekend.
Going to the retreat not only gave me many breakthroughs about myself, it also showed me the impact and power a sisterhood can have on you.
As someone who organises group coaching programs and dreams of opening her spiritual retreat centre, this comforted me in the idea that this is exactly what I live for.
I have so much love and respect for Ustadha Iffet who beautifully led the retreat. She gave so much of herself with authenticity, compassion and love.
This was a reminder that having inspiring people around me is also a game changer. Women like Ustadha Iffet make me want to dream bigger and work harder for what I want in this life and the next.
So, what does that have to do with you? If you’re not familiar with the work Ustadha Iffet does, check it out and consider getting her amazing courses or joining the Blue Lantern for beneficial knowledge and an incredible community.
And even if it’s not The Blue Lantern, look out for those places where you’ll be heard and accepted for who you truly are. I know it seems like there aren’t many of them, but there are out there, I promise.
That’s it for this week my love,
Take care of your soul, mind and body !
